The B20 Club is evolving.
Meet the Indiana Advanced Biofuels Coalition.
The Indiana B20 Club has been the connector for fleets, fuel providers and advocates committed to cleaner, smarter fueling across Indiana. But what started as a focused initiative around biodiesel blends, specifically B20, has grown into something larger. Today, the name is catching up to the mission.
We’re proud to introduce the Indiana Advanced Biofuels Coalition.
Why is the name changing?
The biofuels landscape in Indiana has evolved significantly. Fleet operators are using higher biodiesel blends. Renewable diesel has emerged as a viable, high-performing alternative. Sustainable aviation fuel and marine biofuels are gaining ground. Co-processors and fuel innovators are entering the market in ways that weren’t anticipated when “B20 Club” first appeared on a logo.
The new name reflects where the industry is and where it’s headed. “Advanced biofuels” encompasses the full range of biobased diesel solutions our members are already using and advocating for. The word “coalition” signals what this organization has always been at its best: a collective of stakeholders working across sectors toward a shared goal.
What stays the same?
Everything that matters. The mission — accelerating the adoption of advanced biofuels across Indiana while supporting cleaner air, stronger rural economies and energy security — hasn’t changed. The relationships haven’t changed. The people driving this work haven’t changed. Members will still receive the same technical assistance, educational resources, recognition and networking opportunities that have made the Club valuable. The core visual identity — the logo shape, the colors, the connection to Indiana — was intentionally preserved to signal continuity, not disruption. This is an evolution, not a reinvention.
What does “advanced biofuels” actually mean?
Advanced biofuels are domestically produced, low-carbon fuel solutions that can power vehicles, equipment, aircraft and vessels with significantly reduced emissions compared to petroleum fuels. For our members, this includes:
- Biodiesel blends (B20 and above)
- Renewable diesel
- Sustainable aviation fuel (SAF)
- Marine biofuels
Indiana is already a leader in this space with over 100 million gallons of biodiesel production capacity and 10.5 million gallons of renewable diesel capacity statewide. Advanced biofuels demand contributes as much as 10% to the price of a bushel of soybeans and supports more than 4,500 jobs across the state.
The Coalition exists to build on that foundation.
Who can be part of the Coalition?
The expanded name reflects an expanded membership. The Indiana Advanced Biofuels Coalition welcomes three types of members:

Fleet Members are Indiana-based fleets — public or private — operating on biodiesel blends, renewable diesel or SAF for at least six months annually. Whether you manage a municipal vehicle fleet, a long-haul trucking operation or heavy equipment, if you’re running on advanced biofuels, there’s a place for you here.

Fuel Provider Members are the companies producing, supplying, distributing or retailing advanced biofuels to Indiana customers. Providers are essential to making advanced biofuel adoption possible, and the Coalition is designed to connect them with the fleets that need reliable, quality fuel.

Partner Members are the organizations and companies that make adoption possible from the outside in — equipment manufacturers, technology developers, logistics providers, nonprofits and sustainability-focused businesses. If your work supports the advanced biofuels ecosystem in Indiana, you belong in this coalition.
What does this mean for current members?
If you’re a current member of the B20 Club, nothing changes on your end except the name on the letterhead. Your membership continues, your benefits continue and your standing in this community continues. We’ll be in touch with updated materials and resources as the new brand rolls out.
What does change is the opportunity ahead of you. An expanded coalition means more connections, broader influence and a stronger collective voice for advanced biofuels in Indiana.
What’s next?
The Indiana Advanced Biofuels Coalition is open and growing. We’re actively welcoming new fleet, provider and partner members who share a commitment to advanced biofuels adoption, cleaner air and Indiana’s agricultural economy.
If you’re already with us, thank you! Your belief in this work is what made it worth evolving.
If you’re new here, we’d love to have you.
